Our ‘zine Flytrap ran from 2003-2008, publishing work by some of the most distinctive voices in genre and literary fiction, plus innovative non-fiction and poetry. After issue #10 we went on hiatus — but now we’re back.
Issue #11 will appear in mid-February 2014, both online and in a limited number of print issues (we like the old-school thing). Here’s the line-up for the new issue!
On the Banks of the Fall Creek by William Akin
The Island of White Houses by Alisa Alering
The Secret Diary by Cassie Alexander
Lighting Candles by Stephanie Burgis
Rocket Summer by Sarah Grey
The Pickup Artist at the End of the World, Plus Stuffed Bunny by Jessica May Lin
The Girl at the Edge of the Sea by Melissa Marr

We’ll also have artwork by Aislinn Quicksilver Harvey; non-fiction by Nick Mamatas (the return of his Life Among the Obliterati column), Brian M. Rosen (essay “Mars Needs Music?”), and Jed Hartman (his Words & Stuff column returns with a piece on nonsense words); and four pieces by featured poet Megan Arkenberg.
